  • 9:00 am to 9:55 am GYROKINESIS®   GYROKINESIS® Method upholds the same principles of GYROTONIC® Method, but does so without the use of equipment.  Like a dance class, flow and rhythm are essential to the curriculum. Each class begins on a chair and with a gentle warm up sequence to awaken the senses, and stimulate the nervous system. Class will continue on the floor with a sequence that expands on the spinal motions, moving gradually to add more complex sequences. Note: unlike a yoga class, there is no position holding or potential for energetic stagnation.We work with you to create a calm body and mind. Deb graduated from the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI) in 2005. She completed over 500 hours of comprehensive training which included anatomy, physiology and extensive nutritional instruction. She also completed two years of training under a certified Barre Instructor. It was during teaching sessions at Core Bodies she was introduced to Pilates and the [gyro]GYROTONIC EXPANSION METHOD[/gyro] by Siobhan Roberts and immediately fell in love. Her master trainers include Sebastian Plettenburg, Billy Macagnone and Emily Smith. Deb's certifications include: [gyro]GYROKINESIS[/gyro] Level 1, [gyro]GYROTONIC[/gyro] Level 1 and the [gyro]GYROTONER[/gyro].     Open Level Pilates Mat Class with a maximum of 10 clients. All are welcome but this class is designed for the strong beginner and intermediate client. An open level class combines Joseph Pilates principles of flow and precision to the most fundamental of Pilates work – the floor routine. Pilates props such as the Magic Circle, stretch bands, balls, weights and more may be incorporated for variety.Economical and a great way to work the principles of the Pilates system.

    Class fee: $15 or 10 prepaid classes for $125.

    Jenn has been in the fitness world since the late 1990′s. Fitness, over all health and well-being has always been the main drive physically and emotionally.  It started off as a personal goal and then branched out to helping others. Studying with NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), continuing to further her education working with well known Yoga instructor Michael Stien and owner of Ashtange Yoga in NewPaltz NY she became a certified teacher of Ashtanga Yoga. Pilates became an interest of hers in 2007 , she took her first class with Siobhan Roberts, co-owner of Core Bodies and immediately fell in love. Since then she has studied anatomy under Steve Gioradano, and apprenticed under Siobhan Roberts. Jenn was introduced to the world of GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® in 2008. She is a level one Certified GYROTONIC® Instructor and has completed the foundation training for GYROKINESIS®. Taking her education a step further she has also worked with local chiropractors helping develop rehab programs best suited for their patients. Her over all goal is to help people live a happy healthy well educated body aware life style.

    Janet enjoyed movement at an early age with dance and has continued to be physically active throughout her life. After completing PSC Pilates Teacher Certification in 2012, she began her Pilates journey by working with students in the Hudson Valley. Janet has a passion for movement and encourages others to join her in finding the freedom to move with ease. Pilates has enhanced her fitness for the activities she enjoys outside the studio including cycling, hiking, skiing and gardening. She coaches her students to a deeper awareness of movement and strength. By moving beyond functional training and toward integration she helps students find awareness of the whole body. Janet completed the Pilates Teacher Intensives mentoring and study program with The Verticle Workshop taught by Shari Berkowitz in 2116. She also completed the Pink Ribbon Program in 2116 and is a Post Rehabilitative Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist certified by Pink Ribbon Program. She began taking classes in barre in 2010. Falling in love with the immediate results she discovered in her own body, she became a dedicated practitioner. Lisa began her instructor journey for barre studying and teaching at Rhinebeck Body Barre, with certified barre instructor Michelle Racine. Lisa also studied yoga and received her 200 hour yoga certification in 2012 from Sadhana Yoga in Hudson, NY where she studied under the tutelage of Sondra Loring and Raghunath. Lisa went on to pursue Pilates training with Siobhan Roberts at Core Bodies. She continues to deepen her understanding of different body modalities offering classes that are encouraging, challenging and fun. This work will help create long, strong muscles, restore and increase spine mobility, and help build and challenge core strength. Using this machine, you will have support to work through a range of exercises flowing from the mat exercises into more advanced Pilates work. You will experience whole body strength training as this exercise generally works muscles through a large range of motion which is ideal for building and toning muscles as well increasing stability through the joints. Other studio apparatus may be included in this class. Note: Despite the somewhat medieval name, the Pilates reformer is actually an amazingly elegant machine.     Jenn has been in the fitness world since the late 1990′s. Fitness, over all health and well-being has always been the main drive physically and emotionally.  It started off as a personal goal and then branched out to helping others. Studying with NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), continuing to further her education working with well known Yoga instructor Michael Stien and owner of Ashtange Yoga in NewPaltz NY she became a certified teacher of Ashtanga Yoga. Pilates became an interest of hers in 2007 , she took her first class with Siobhan Roberts, co-owner of Core Bodies and immediately fell in love. Since then she has studied anatomy under Steve Gioradano, and apprenticed under Siobhan Roberts. Jenn was introduced to the world of GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® in 2008. She is a level one Certified GYROTONIC® Instructor and has completed the foundation training for GYROKINESIS®. Taking her education a step further she has also worked with local chiropractors helping develop rehab programs best suited for their patients. Her over all goal is to help people live a happy healthy well educated body aware life style.
  • 5:30 pm to 6:25 pm GYROKINESIS®   GYROKINESIS® Method upholds the same principles of GYROTONIC® Method, but does so without the use of equipment.  Like a dance class, flow and rhythm are essential to the curriculum. Each class begins on a chair and with a gentle warm up sequence to awaken the senses, and stimulate the nervous system. Class will continue on the floor with a sequence that expands on the spinal motions, moving gradually to add more complex sequences. Note: unlike a yoga class, there is no position holding or potential for energetic stagnation.We work with you to create a calm body and mind.     Deborah is the owner of Core Bodies of Poughkeepsie. She is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength Conditioning Association and is trained in Pilates and [gyro]THE GYROTONIC EXPANSION METHOD[/gyro]. Deb graduated from the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI) in 2005. She completed over 500 hours of comprehensive training which included anatomy, physiology and extensive nutritional instruction. She also completed two years of training under a certified Barre Instructor. It was during teaching sessions at Core Bodies she was introduced to Pilates and the [gyro]GYROTONIC EXPANSION METHOD[/gyro] by Siobhan Roberts and immediately fell in love. Her master trainers include Sebastian Plettenburg, Billy Macagnone and Emily Smith. Deb's certifications include: [gyro]GYROKINESIS[/gyro] Level 1, [gyro]GYROTONIC[/gyro] Level 1 and the [gyro]GYROTONER[/gyro]. Deb emphasizes interval cardio training to improve cardiac vascular output and promote weight loss using kettle bells, medicine and stability balls and bands. She has taken multiple workshops in kettle bells, boot camps, Olympic weight training. She is also certified in Zumba. Deb knows from her own experience that Barre, Pilates and the [gyro]GYROTONIC EXPANSION METHOD[/gyro] can help rehabilitate injuries. She suffered multiple injuries herself and has able to regain the use, strength and range of motion in her wrist, elbow and shoulder. Even with conditions such a Multiple Sclerosis you can have a good workout and become strong, balanced and flexible. Deb's medical experience as an ultrasonographer for more than 25 years provides her with a more complete understanding of the challenges facing students of the methods she instructs. She enjoys working with people from all walks of life, in all age groups and at all levels of physical activity.
